A team of wildlife experts, vets, police and 20 Forestry Commission officers went to rescue this poor baby
They conducted the rescue ducting the night so that his “owner” wouldn't notice it
This elephant knew only pain and brutality for the past 50 years
The chains were deeply cutting into his flesh and hurting his every move
After he got freed, the most amazing thing happened – tears of joy started rolling down his face
He was very weak and needed medical attention as soon as possible
He was transported to the Elephant Conservation and Care Centre at Mathura, 350 miles away
He was given a bath and much needed medical attention
Finally he started enjoying his freedom!
